When I was younger, I was always told to always follow your dreams, no matter what is in your way. I truly thought that adults were really adamant on what they told us as children. BOOY was I wrong. Never have I seen so many depressed people upset at life and the shortcomings that they endured when they failed at reaching their success. At first I started making excuses of why they never continued on with their passion, but honestly I knew the truth... they lost motivation. Life and the miserable thought of being out in society with their standards killed the dream. They were older, had more responsibilities, more worries than ever, so they had to survive. I never thought that being an adult would lead so many people to live in misery. It is so sad.
I'm not depressed, and for the sake of this article, that is a good thing. Although I am not depressed, I am a bit upset at how some people come off at me because I am actually not boggled down by the "real world" madness that they are feeling. It bothers me that there are people that still want to pursue their dreams, but have these idiotic people putting them down because of material things. I feel angered as I type this, but you know what? It is very exciting to be able to sit here everyday doing what I do and proving them all wrong.
Some people say that it is not good to work from anger, but when you have to shake negativity away, you have to fight fire with fire. You have to stay focused and keep going until you feel that you have completed your goal. It is that simple. I don't know how many ways I can put it, but you are responsible for you. Nobody will ever be the blame for what you don't have or cannot achieve... unless you cannot do for yourself, which is another story. Still, the message is clear, don't give up, and don't let anyone tell you that you cannot do something, because they are just flat out jealous and want you to join them in self pity. If you really want to do something, then by all means do it! Don't sit around others and just talk about it. Most of the time the people you are telling it to don't really think you have it in you to do it, which is a whole new can of worms and I'll cover that in a future post. If you need a further ranting about this, view the video below. It is me in one of my rarest moments.
